Live It Holy and Separated!!

Our family was watching a preaching DVD last night.  So many things said that really struck home.  But one thing that Bro. Tenney said really reached my heart because it is something that really disturbs me concerning our churches.  He said, and I am paraphrasing here - It used to be that we (the church) used to hold ourselves to a higher standard of living, reaching for our source (Jesus).  And the world's standard was not far below us.  But as the world continually lowered their standard's ours seemed to drop to just above them. My question is this - Who authorized us to leave the place where we were in the beginning?  Certainly not Jesus because he doesn't change and as his church, neither should we!  Powerful and my thoughts exactly!  We should be so far away from what the world is as we see the end times unfolding before our eyes.  Our God told us to Holy and Separated for a reason!!  We are not to get "caught up" in the things of this world.  


The other night we were listening to Bro. Jeff Arnold.  Love to listen to him because he says it like it is!  He said, and once again I am paraphrasing - My wife is for me and for me only.  She dresses modestly.  I don't want no other man looking at her body.  You women out there, I don't need to see what you have on top, I know what they look like, I have a wife and hers are the only ones I need to see.  As for hemlines, they keep going up and up - Church it is time to live it holy and separated!! AMEN Brother!!


So, my question for you today - Does your closet reflect the world or God's Holy Word?

One24 ~ Catch the Vision!!!

Funny isn't it ~ people ask God for help and then when it is sent in a form they didn't expect they don't accept it!!!  I prayed and asked God for financial security for my family and for the financial ability to bless missionaries around the world.  3 days later One24 was dropped in my lap by a friend.  Now, I could've just brushed it off because it wasn't a check in the mail or cash in my hand, but realized God provided me an opportunity to achieve what I asked for in a form I wasn't expecting!!  Do I have to make an effort??!!  Of course ~ There is always a sacrifice, before a blessing:)  That's the thing, people do not want to have to do something to be blessed.  They want the blessing, then maybe I will sacrifice, put forth some effort, give, etc.

I truly believe One24 is a gift from God and I am trying to share it with all my friends, family and really anyone that I meet!!!  Still some say they need a sign.  Isn't there something about that in the bible ~ I need a sign to believe!!  How about trust God, put forth some effort and let HIM control your future!!

Homeschooling!! Oh the Joy!!

I never thought I would be one of those.  You know, one of those women who stayed home and homeschooled their children because the outside world is absolutely horrible!!!  The thoughts we think before we really understand the real purpose.  Now that I am a "stay-at-home" mom of 3 precious children, I fully understand the logic and reasoning of women around the world.  My children have attended traditional schooling at a public school and they have successfully completed schooling via homeschool.  I now realize that it is not that the world is such a horrible place - i'll reserve another post regarding this world for a later time! - but it depends on the needs of each family and child, which, mind you, can change year to year!  I have a new appreciation for homeschooling moms and applaud them for their dedication.  It is not an easy "hat" to wear, but it is capable of bringing one joy.  Remember, education begins in the home whether you "homeschool" or not!!!
